Astroparticle physicist Christian Glaser at the Department of Physics and Astronomy has been awarded the 2026 Wallmark Prize of 435,000 Swedish kronor “for internationally acclaimed research efforts in the radio detection of ultra-high-energy neutrinos, with particularly significant contributions to the real-time analysis of data from ice-based detectors using machine learning.”

Lina von Sydow, Professor in Scientific Computing at the Department of Information Technology, has been awarded the Elder Gustaf Adolf Medal (also called the Hedlinger Medal) in gold for significant contributions.

Daniel Brandell, Professor of Materials Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry-Ångström, has been appointed to represent the Swedish Chemical Society in Chemistry Europe.
