Apply to mentorship program for young researchers
The Faculty of Science and Technology offers during 2026-2027 a mentorship program for young researchers in the beginning of an independent research career. Apply no later than 17 May 2026.
The aim of the mentorship program is to support researchers (postdoctoral research fellows/ assistant professors (forskarassistenter), associate senior lecturers (biträdande universitetslektorer) and post docs (postdoktorer)) in their development through a personal mentor, seminar series and the network of the program.
The goal of the program is to increase the number of senior lecturers and professors of the underrepresented gender at the faculty by having more qualified applicants for these positions.
The program is directed towards researchers with a PhD, working within the Faculty of Science and Technology at Uppsala University, but without a position as senior lecturer. The number of participants is limited and selection will be based on motivation, merits, the objectives of the program, and, if possible, maintaining an even distribution over the departments of the faculty. The participants will be matched with mentors during the spring 2026 and the first meetings will take place early in September 2026. Regular seminars are planned throughout the program, which continues until September 2027.
