Nanotechnology and Functional Materials

The Division for Nanotechnology and Functional Materials is part of the Department for Material Science and Engineering and situated at the Ångström Laboratory. The division was established in 2004 and is headed by professor Maria Strömme.

Our research focuses on many different research areas, with the common denominator of our research being innovative work through nanotechnological principles. With us you will find research that is close to both energy research and biomedicine.

We work closely with industry and academic institutions to ensure that our research is relevant and cutting-edge.
