One moment... Section Dean Anna Rutgersson, who last week hosted one of the international Q&R24 research evaluation panels:
What did the panelists want to know?
“There were questions about our research infrastructure, such as labs and field stations, and how it is operated and funded. There were also questions about how research programmes are organised and collaboration between different research programmes.”
Did you get the questions you expected?
“Partly, some questions were of course about the Swedish university system. It was sometimes difficult for the panel to understand how it works. Otherwise, I thought most of the questions were relevant and important for us to discuss.”
Did you get any immediate feedback from the panelists?
“Positive feedback, they were impressed with the organisation and the enthusiasm of the staff.”
What are your takeaways from this visit? Was there anything that was particularly useful?
“I think two things have been useful, one is that the process initiates internal discussions about how we work and organise ourselves, the other is that it is good to get input from an outside group.”
