Network for Sustainable Tourism (NST)

The network´s mission is to facilitate both virtual and face-to-face interaction among academic researchers on sustainable tourism from a broad range of fields as well as engage the next generation of tourist research scholars around the Baltic sea. NST also will welcome the participation of policy makers and workplace practitioners as it seeks to promote knowledge and understanding of sustainability issues among the researchers, communities and the local stakeholders. The network is also designed to be a platform for all members to be able to collaborate and share knowledge with each other. Furthermore, the NST is intended to make members of the network aware of recent research and academic publications (such as academic journals and books) or items of interest to practitioners. As a multi-disciplinary endeavor, network aims at exploring specifically devoted members to sustainability issues in hospitality industry, i.e. destination development, tourist attractions, accommodations etc.
