BUP PhD Students Training
The objective of this training is to give PhD students from BUP participating universities the possibility to meet and discuss scientific problems with a focus on sustainable development in an interdisciplinary, international, multicultural, and regional context. In this way, students will also get the opportunity to become acquainted with other universities and their scientific traditions.
One of the main event organisers is The Baltic University Programme‘s Associated Secretariat at Lodz University of Technology, Poland.
Event content
PhD students are offered training in interdisciplinary research cooperation with the guidance of an international group of interdisciplinary research experts, composed of senior scientists.
The program of the training includes lectures, workshops, students’ presentations of PhD work, and individual consultancies of PhD work with international experts.
BUP PhD Students Training 2025
The event has the theme 'Strengthening the Security and Resilience of the Baltic Sea Region – Environmental, Political, Social, and Economic Shocks and Crises'. It will be held in connection with the BUP Symposium, and take place on-site in Uppsala, Sweden, between 24-28 November 2025.
The event is hosted and organised by the BUP Coordinating Secretariat in Uppsala, in collaboration with Adam Mickiewicz University and Lodz University of Technology.
