BUP Teachers' Day

This event is open to all teachers in higher education within The Baltic University Programme. It is a possibility to network, gain new knowledge and inspiration, and share experiences and best practices with colleagues around the Baltic Sea Region.

The BUP Teachers' Day is usually arranged as an online event an afternoon during spring. The focus and content of the event shifts between each year. The event organiser is The Baltic University Programme‘s Associate Secretariat at Åbo Akademi University, Finland.

Online workshop 2025

This BUP Teachers' Day 2025 was open to all teachers in higher education within the BUP. It was a possibility to network, gain new knowledge and inspiration, and share experiences and best practices with colleagues around the Baltic Sea Region. This year's theme was 'Ethical, Educational, and Sustainable Approaches to AI'.

In this online workshop, the participants explored artificial intelligence through the lens of sustainability. How does AI relate to ongoing debates about infrastructure, the environment, and ethics? What opportunities and challenges does AI present in the fields of education, teaching, and learning?

The program will combined theoretical insights with discussions and exercises.
