SIMPLER (Swedish Infrastructure for Medical Population-Based Life-Course and Environmental Research) is a research infrastructure with the mission to provide national and international researchers with data for studies on how dietary and lifestyle factors and genetics affect our health, especially during the latter part of life.
The EpiHub
The EpiHub is a multidisciplinary, multiprofessional, and international research environment for epidemiological research at Uppsala University with the aim to promote high quality epidemiological research by stimulating collaboration and discussions to sharpen research questions, study design and methodology.
Biobank Sweden
Biobank Sweden is not a biobank but a national infrastructure for biobanking where healthcare, academia, industry, and patient organisations collaborate to attain good healthcare and research. Biobank Sweden was established in 2018 and is since 2024 hosted by our department. It coordinates and works towards efficient use of biobanks at a national and an international level. A specific goal for this infrastructure is to improve access to samples and associated data for researchers in academia, health and medical care and industry.
Other infrastructures in the domain of Medicine and Pharmacy
Uppsala University hosts several international, national, regional and local infrastructures and participate in various infrastructures led by other universities and organisations.
