Register an account for salary payment

Danske Bank handles the university's salary payments. As an employee, you therefore need to ensure that you have the right bank account registered for salary payments in Danske Bank's Salary Service. This also applies if you are on sick leave, parental leave, leave of absence, hourly employees or remunerated .

You do not need to be, or become, a customer of Danske Bank to register a bank account - in the account register you can register an account from any Swedish bank.

If you are already a customer of Danske Bank, you still need to register your account details by following the instructions below. This also applies if payment has been received from another higher education institution or employer.

How to register an account:

  1. Follow the guide on how to register your payroll account with Danske Bank.
  2. Go to Danske Bank's payroll service
  3. Enter Uppsala University's customer number which is 79221.

For support with account registration at Danske Bank call: 0752-48 18 50.

BankID is required for identification

In order to register your account, you must have a BankID or mobile BankID. You will log in and identify yourself at twoday AB – Utbetalningstjänst. If you do not have a BankID, order it via your bank.

Information on how to order BankID is available via the link in the right-hand column. Your bank can also provide more information on how to order a BankID.

I do not have a BankID or have a foreign account

The form and proof of account, showing that you are the account holder of the account, should be submitted to the Payroll Unit via the contact person/HR generalist at your institution/equivalent. The Payroll Unit will register your bank details with Danske Bank.

Forms for registration of bank details without BankID can be found in the right column.

At least one week before the salary payment date

Registration of a bank account must take place at least three banking days before the payroll date. This advance planning applies regardless of whether the account registration is done digitally in Danske Bank's Payroll Service or by filling in a form.

Timetable for salary payments

What happens if I don't register my account?

If you do not register an account for salary payment in the account register, but have a Swedish postal address registered in Primula, the salary will be paid on a payment slip. It costs SEK 69 per payment slip (which has a maximum amount of SEK 15 000 and is divided into several if the amount is higher).

You need to visit a retailer or your bank branch to redeem the slip.

How can I check if my account is registered?

You can check your account number by logging in with your BankID to Danske Bank's Payroll service, see link in the right-hand column. If you cannot find your account number or are unsure whether your account is registered, you can also contact Danske Bank's customer service for further help and support on 0752-48 18 50.

I already have other accounts registred at Danske bank, what must I do?

If you have other accounts registered at Danske bank, you must tie your account to Uppsala University according to the instruction, following both step 1 and 2.
