Competence Delevopment Courses
TUR offers specialised didatics courses for employees who have already basic pedagogical training and/or have a solid teaching experience. The courses are given alternately in Swedish and English.
Scholarly teaching in science and technology
The foundation of the course is informed by discipline-based research, models and practical experiences of teaching and learning in technology, science, computer science and mathematics. The course begins with an introduction to discipline-based research, which will work as the theoretical starting point for practical exercises and discussions. Theoretical parts, practical exercises and discussions are interspersed in the course, all grounded on the personal teaching experience of the participants. The content will to some extent be adapted to the participants' backgrounds and interests. The course consists of six course meetings, and additionally work in between the meetings, e.g. readings and reflections. The course ends with an individual project, linked to participant’s own teaching and subject area.

Ethics in science and engineering education
In the first part of the course the basics of ethics as well as ethics in disciplines within Science and Technology are discussed. In the second part, participants carry out a project that aims to integrate ethics into, for example, a teaching element in a course, an educational program, or a subject area. The course is based on ethical theory and research literature in ethics, and related areas.

Supervisory course on oral presentation
The course will introduce a model for positive feedback and discuss the supervisory role in oral communication training. The course aims to provide an increased ability to give specific and concrete feedback on oral presentations.
