Neurokirurgin startade i Uppsala 1963. Vård och forskning bedrivs inom alla centrala neurokirurgiska områden.
Beskrivning av vår forskning
Forskningen inkluderar såväl klinisk forskning som translationell och grundläggande forskning. Viktiga forskningsplattformar är neurointensivvårdsavdelningen med standardiserad vård och datoriserade system för neuromonitorering och insamling av högupplösta fysiologiska data, samt experimentella laboratoriefaciliteter för studier av akuta hjärnskador. Traumatisk hjärnskada är ett Center of Excellence.
