To celebrate the Programme’s 35th anniversary in 2026, we will host a series of webinars dedicated to sustainability and the ten BUP themes. All BUP colleagues are invited to contribute and are welcome to apply to give a presentation.
The Baltic University Programme (BUP) was established in 1991. Over the years, many colleagues have been actively working to promote sustainable development and democracy across the Baltic Sea Region. Thousands of students have participated in BUP activities, gaining knowledge, experience, and new perspectives on sustainability and cooperation. Today, the BUP continues to strengthen regional education and research communities while fostering greater awareness of its key focus areas.
The celebration of BUP's 35th anniversary will be commemorated via a series of webinars. The content of each webinar will address sustainability with a focus on the ten BUP themes, and may take the form of a lecture, workshop, seminar, or similar format.
We are looking for presentations that are engaging and accessible to a broad, non-expert audience. We hope that many of our BUP colleagues will be interested in taking part. The webinars are preliminarily planned to take place once a month, and the final schedule (dates and times) will be coordinated with the selected contributors.

The deadline for applications for the first webinars to be held in spring 2026 is 14 December 2025.
