Meet a pedagogical mentor

Would you like to have tailored and concrete tips on how to make your teaching even better? TUR, the Council for Educational Development, now offers the opportunity to book a consultation with a pedagogical mentor. If you have a specific teaching element you want feedback on, or are you looking for general advice about your teaching, this may be suitable for you.

The pedagogical mentor is an experienced teacher who has completed mentor training and who can be present during a teaching session. This can be a lecture, a laboratory, a seminar or any other occasion you are leading. You first meet the mentor during a pre-teaching meeting to discuss the structure of your session and what type of feedback you would particularly like. The mentor then sits in during the session, and after that you have a final feedback meeting.

The number of places is limited; there are only 7 such mentoring opportunities each semester. You register your interest by emailing us at tur-teknat@uu.se and describing what kind of teaching opportunity it is and which date(s) and times are relevant. There is a "first come, first served" among the applications where we assess how we can contribute; we will then pair you with an available mentor, who will then contact you to book a pre-meeting.
