Färgämnesensitiserade solceller och perovskitsolceller
Vår forskning
Gerrit Boschloos grupp forskar på grundläggande aspekter av färgämne-sensitiserade solceller (DSC för dye-sensitized solar cells) och perovskitsolceller (PSC). Båda teknikerna kan minska kostnader för solceller. Det behövs dock ytterligare forskning eftersom dessa komplexa system inte är väl förstådda.
DSC byggs på nanostrukturerade metalloxidelektroder ytmodifierad med organiska färgmolekyler, vilket leder till solceller som kan ha alla regnbågens färger. Genom noggrann design av den molekylära struktur av färgämne och redoxmediator eller hålledare kan mycket effektiva solceller skapas.
Forskningen på perovskitsolceller startade 2012 i Boschloo-gruppen. Blyhalogenidperovskiter är hybridmaterial (organiskt-oorganiskt) med fascinerande egenskaper: de är mycket ljusabsorberande halvledare som kan användas i optoelektronik, såsom solceller och lysdioder. Solceller har nått mer än 26% verkningsgrad. Dessa perovskiter är också jonledare, vilket kan påverka deras långsiktiga stabilitet.
