Plasmoniska nanosystem
Vår forskning
Jacinto Sás forskargrupp undersöker grundläggande aspekter av plasmoniska material, med tonvikt på tillämpningar för fotokatalys och fotovoltaik. Plasmoniska material absorberar tio gånger mer ljus än något annat material som ger möjlighet till låg kostnadskonvertering av solenergi. Det finns dock en betydande kunskapsgap i hur de fungerar. Vår forskning är inriktad på utveckling och förståelse av plasmon baserade system som kan producera bränsle och kemikalier med högt värde med ljus (konstgjord fotosyntes) och göra solenergi (direkta plasmoniska solceller) för smarta saker, som IoT-sensorer och bärbara. Vi använder avancerad spektroskopi för att förstå processerna på en fundamental nivå.
