If you have a campus card, you can access the library the same times as you can access the building using your campus card. Please contact the Ångström Laboratory for further information.

There are lifts between the two floors.
The entrance doors open automatically.

Borrowing and returning books

Borrow and return

Self-service machines for loans are available at level K1 (basement), and on the entrance level (level 0) by the left entrance.
A machine for borrowing and returning is located on the entrance level (level 0) by the right entrance (enter from Lägerhyddsvägen). After returning material in the machine, please place it in the book-drop.
You can also return books borrowed at our other libraries.

Your loans are renewed automatically where possible.

Books for pickup

Books that you have requested or queued for can be found on a shelf on the right-hand side of the book-drop (entrance level).

Interlibrary loans and articles

Interlibrary loans do not need to be registered in the self-service machine.
If you are an employee at Uppsala University, copies of articles are sent via internal mail.

Finding your way in the collections

Course books are located in the round, right-hand shelf on the entrance level (level 0).
Other books are located on both floors.

Food and beverages

No food is allowed in the library.
Beverages are allowed if you use a lid on the container.
There is a café, lunch restaurant, and a pantry with microwave ovens in other parts of the building.

Group study rooms: 3 (no booking)

Public computers

As a student, researcher or employee at Uppsala University, you use your university account and password A to access the computers.
