There are lifts and door openers in the library and other buildings.

Borrowing and returning books

Borrow and return

There is a self-service machine for loans and returns in the library, near the entrance.
After returning materials in the machine, put them in the return box.
You can also return books borrowed at our other libraries.

Your loans are renewed automatically where possible.

Books for pickup

Books that you have requested can be picked up from the lockers located directly to the left of the entrance to the BMC Library. Please follow the instructions on the lockers' display.

Interlibrary loans and articles

Interlibrary loan books can be picked up from the lockers located directly to the left of the entrance.
If you are an employee of Uppsala University, copies of articles will be sent to you via the internal post service.

Food and beverages

No food is allowed in the library.
Beverages are allowed if you use a lid on the container.
There is a café, lunch restaurant, and a pantry with microwave ovens in other parts of the building.

Study spaces

The Bio-Medical Library offers study spaces for individual, quiet study:

Close by you will find 7 group rooms (no booking).

Public computers

As a student, researcher or employee at Uppsala University, you use your university account and password A to access the computers.
