Accessibility
From the entrance on Norbyvägen, there is a door opener and lift for access to the library’s lower floor. There are lifts between the two floors in the library.
Borrowing and returning books
Borrow and return
The self-service machine is located to the left when you enter the library (downstairs via the entrance from Norbyvägen). After returning material in the machine, please put it in the return box. You can also return books borrowed at our other libraries.
Your loans are renewed automatically where possible.
Books for pickup
Books that you have requested or queued for can be found on a trolley to the left of the self-service machine.
Interlibrary loans and articles
Interlibrary loans and articles are also available on the trolley by the self-service machine. Interlibrary loans do not need to be registered in the self-service machine.
Food and beverages
- No food is allowed in the library.
- Water and coffee are allowed if you have a top on your cup or bottle.
- There is a café, lunch restaurant, and a pantry with microwave ovens in other parts of the building.

Everyone is welcome to use the University's printing system eduPrint.
EBC Makerspace
EBC Makerspace is a place for creative activities, where you can make prototypes with 3D printers, solder, use VR technology and learn various creative methods through open workshops.

For access to VR equipment, please contact ask.library@ub.uu.se.
Public computers
As a student, researcher or employee at Uppsala University, you use your university account and password A to access the computers. Other visitors can get a temporary account at one of our information desks. You can see which of our libraries have information desks and when they are open on the page Opening hours and contact.
Support
All IT technical support is provided by the University's IT support.
Wireless network
Students and researchers use the Eduroam network. Other visitors are welcome to use the UU-guest network.
