Accessible parking
Parking for visitors with handicap parking permits can be found on the parking lot toward the Observatory/Ekonomikumparken as well as toward Kyrkogårdsgatan.
Door openers
The entrances closest to the carpark and into the library have door openers.
Computers
All the computers are on tables that can be raised and lowered.
There is no RWC or elevator inside the library.
Borrowing and returning books
Borrow and return
For loans, use the machine located at the circulation desk. For returns, use the machine located outside the library. Books can also be returned there when the library is closed. You can also return books borrowed at our other libraries.
Your loans are renewed automatically where possible.
Books for pickup
Books that you have requested or queued for can be found to the right when you enter the library.
Interlibrary loans and articles
Interlibrary loan books and copies of articles can be picked up at the circulation desk during library opening hours.
Finding your way in the collections
- Periodicals – to the left in the main room.
- Reports and older editions of periodicals are provided by staff. Ask for assistance at the information desk.
Food and beverages
- No food is allowed in the library.
- Water and coffee are allowed if you have a top on your cup or bottle.
- There is a café, lunch restaurant, and a pantry with microwave ovens in other parts of the building.
Study spaces
The Library for Economic Sciences offers study spaces for individual work and collaboration.
- Seats in the low voice zone Hyllan (one flight up): 82
- Seats with computers at adjustable desks: 5
- Various seats for group work or individual studies: 100
- Seats in G218 Computer room: 10
Use a study break disc when taking a break
Study break discs are available for loan at the information desk on to reserve your study space for up to one hour.
Technical equipment and locally available e-resources
Public computers
As a student, researcher or employee at Uppsala University, you use your university account and password A to access the computers.
Other visitors can get a temporary account at one of our information desks. You can see which of our libraries have information desks and when they are open on the page Opening hours.
Computer for the databases Svenska tidningar and ArkivDigital
One of the computers has full access to the National Library's database Svenska tidningar and the database ArkivDigital.
The computer is bookable weekdays 09:00–12:00, and is free to use for everyone when there is no booking.

Everyone is welcome to use the University's printing system eduPrint.
