Short presentation
We work on understanding dynamic & kinetic processes in energy-related materials targeting smart windows, hydrogen in solids, nanoelectronics or nuclear fusion. For this, we develop advanced in-situ and operando tools - to follow processes on the atomic scale, but also study fundamental aspects such as non-equilibrium electronic phenomena. As director of tandem laboratory I aim to provide & develop tools for ion beam-based research meeting broad demands; from basic physics to life sciences.
