Short presentation
My research focuses on older female street vendors in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. It explores vulnerability at the intersection of old age, gender, and the Afro-Hispanic postcolony. I engage with topics such as dependency, everyday violence, moral self-making, gossip, and third age sexuality. The research addresses issues in cultural gerontology and existential anthropology (collective memory, non-liberal forms of political agency, and moral creativity).
