Biography
I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Uppsala University (IRES). Previously, I held a postdoctoral position at the University of Tübingen. I have two doctoral degrees: one in Russian literature (with a minor in Italian literature) from Yale University, for the dissertation “Joseph Brodsky & Italy”; and one in English literature and Translation Studies from FU Berlin (summa cum laude).
Research
My research focuses on 19th and 20th century Slavic literatures, theory and practices of poetry translation, comparative literature, poetics and versification, experiences of exile, poetry’s relationship with politics.
