Biography
I am an immunologist and cell biologist with interdisciplinary training in inflammation, structural cell biology and biochemistry.
Research
My core research interest lies in understanding how cells change shape in diverse biological contexts. Cell morphology underpins tissue architecture and organ function, but the regulatory mechanisms connecting signaling pathways to shape changes remain poorly defined.
My research carved out a new niche by examining how mast cell proteases, particularly chymase, affect the structure and behavior of airway-resident cells, moving beyond the conventional immunoregulatory functions of these proteases.
