Short presentation
My dissertation examines efforts to memorialize the history of slavery and colonialism in Europe, where these histories continue to be hidden. I am interested in projects that recontextualize Europe in time (by historicizing it) and space (as a project inseparable from other and othered geographies) thus revealing its hybridity and contingency.
