Biography
I’m an interdisciplinary researcher with a strong background in biotechnology and environmental science. After completing both B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Biotechnology, I have gained specialized experience in assessing the toxicological effects of anthropogenic substances and nanoparticles on diverse biological models, including bacteria, paramecia, and zebrafish.
Currently, I’m pursuing a PhD in environmental physics, focusing on the potential risks posed by radionuclides entering the food chain, with particular emphasis on ESS-specific radionuclides in food crops grown in southern Sweden. By studying radionuclide uptake and transport in agricultural systems, I aim to promote radiation safety and environmental protection, contributing to sustainable practices and helping to envision a healthier, safer world for future generations.
Research
My research focuses on the uptake, translocation, and potential accumulation of ESS-specific radionuclides in food crops cultivated in southern Sweden. Building on a background in biotechnology and toxicology, I combine experimental studies with environmental physics to quantify how radionuclides move through plant systems and into the food chain. This work aims to improve radiological risk assessments, inform radiation protection strategies, and contribute to sustainable, resilient agroecosystems.
