Biography
Dr Mahamadou Kante is primarily in the field of Cybersecurity, holding a PhD with a focus on the dynamics of self-disclosure of personal information on online platforms. A computer scientist, Dr Kante's interests transcended the boundaries of pure technology, drawing him into the social sciences. His fascination with sociology and behavioural sciences underscores his commitment to developing information systems that are not only inclusive and impactful but also resonant with human social and psychological needs. His research activities extend into the vital area of public health, where he leverages his technological capacity to put in place solutions aimed at enhancing maternal and children's health. He has a particular interest in improving antenatal care attendance through innovative technological interventions. This unique intersection of cybersecurity, technology, and health underscores Mahamadou's multidisciplinary approach to tackling societal challenges. In 2023, Dr Kante's contributions were recognised when he became a recipient of the RSTHM Early Career Grant, affirming his impact and potential in the field of public health technology under the supervision of Prof Mats Malqvist. Beyond his professional endeavors, He is a passionate linguist. Fluent in multiple languages, he views language learning as a window into understanding the diverse cultures and perspectives that shape our world.

Moreover, I serve as the editorial secretariat for the African Journal of Social Sciences and Public Health and as digital publishing manager for Malian Studies. Additionally, I am a reviewer for both The International Journal of Big Data Management and The International Journal of Information Security Science. My roles extend to being the secretary of the 12th MANSA conference and an organizing member of the CINI2024 (Thinking about the constraints on public health towards sustainable performance of health systems in Africa) and CINI2022 conferences.
