Short presentation
My research explores ways of ensuring non-diversion of nuclear material from the peaceful nuclear fuel cycle and nuclear energy systems. Nuclear safeguards are measures and tools that deter from misuse of civil nuclear materials and facilities. The development of non-destructive assay instruments and advanced analysis techniques for verification of spent nuclear fuel, which I am contributing to, is an important part of the safeguards system.

Research
Me and my research group perform research on several projects related to verification of nuclear material on current light-water reactor systems. We also perform research on the development of new methods for safeguards verification in new nuclear energy systems such as Generation-IV systems, and for novel applications such as deployment of reactors at sea (electricity generation and propulsion).
