Short presentation
Wide combination of national and international experiences as clinical dietician, lecturer, researcher, supervisor, project coordinator and scientific advisor. M.Sc. in Food Nutrition and Dietetics, from Uppsala University. Ph.D. in General Medicine from Karolinska Institute. My research areas of interest comprise developing novel nutritional therapies in combination with exercise for maintenance and/or development of functional health and health related quality of life in aging populations.
Biography
Wide and unique combination of experiences as a clinical dietician, lecturer, researcher, supervisor project coordinator and sceintific advisor. Bachelor of Science in Foodservice and Nutrition and Master of Social Sciences in
Food Nutrition and Dietetics, from Uppsala University, Sweden. Ph.D. from Karolinska Institute in Stockholm about risk factors for cardiovascular disease among elderly immigrants in Sweden. Based on epidemiological studies.
My position as senior scientist at Nestlé, a multinational food company, in combination with project coordinator in a multicenter research study at Uppsala University, and experience of working as assistant professor at Qatar University in Doha, gave me a broad international frame of reference and has further enhanced my genuine interest and willingness to cooperate with other countries and cultures.
My research areas of interest comprise developing novel nutritional therapies in combination with physical activity for maintenance and/or development of functional health and health related quality of life in aging populations.
