Areas of expertise include the causes of peace; the dynamics of peace processes, peacebuilding and transitional justice; and the causes and consequences of electoral violence.
Research
Areas of expertise include the causes of peace; the dynamics of peace processes, peacebuilding and transitional justice; police-community relations; and the causes and consequences of electoral violence.
I currently direct the research project Alliances of Anarchy: Actor Constellations and Patterns of Electoral Violence (VR) and have recently concluded the projects Urban-rural dynamics of community-based conflict management (Formas), The Institutional Roots of Electoral Violence and "The Causes of Peace".
