Light and darkness control our internal clock. Why is sleep so important – and what actually happens in the body when we don’t get enough sleep? How can we overcome sleep problems and find long-term solutions instead of medicating the symptoms?

Doctor and sleep researcher Jonathan Cedernaes, associate professor of medical cell biology at Uppsala University, talks about the latest research on sleep and recovery. He addresses common myths about sleep, explains why sleep deprivation affects both health and performance, and shares his best tips for a good night's sleep.
