The Culture Night in the University Main Building offers music and opens up unique rooms. In collaboration with Uppsala's nations and Gustavianum.
During the Culture Night on 12 September, Uppsala’s student nations, The University Main building and Gustavianum will once again join forces in their successful collaboration. Together, we offer a wide range of student entertainment and musical performances in the auditorium and at Gustavianum.
The University Main building will also open the unique Faculty Floor to visitors, offering the opportunity to ask questions about the building, the Great Hall will also be open to visitors for a period of time. The day concludes with an atmospheric concert in the grand staircase, performed by Allmänna Sången, featuring a guest choir from Riga.
Café Alma in the University Main Building will be open all day and will host the Ekeby Society’s traditional exhibition in the café premises. At the café, visitors can enjoy everything from coffee and pastries to dinner with delicious accompaniments. Take-away is also available. The student nations have something for everyone with everything gathered under the roofs of the University Main Building and Gustavianum.

11:00 – Opening ceremony with speeches in the grand staircase
11:45–14:30 – The nations’ Culture Night in the auditorium
15:00–17:00 – The faculty floor is open for visitors
17:00–18:30 – The auditorium is open for visitors
19:00–20:00 – Allmänna Sången performs in the grand hallway, featuring a guest choir from Riga
The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) exhibition “Testimonies from the New Climate Zones” will be available in the grand hallway throughout the day.
