Sustainability Talks is a series of transdisciplinary seminars starting at Campus Gotland with the ambition to link education and learning at Uppsala University with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.


The 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets of Agenda 2030 addresses all parts of sustainable development including peace, well-being, equality, climate action and environmental protection. The aim of Sustainability Talks at Campus Gotland is to link education and research at the university with the new Agenda and to enable interdisciplinary learning by providing a space for guest lectures, student presentations and open discussions.

The first lecturer will be held by Doreen Stabinsky - Professor of Global Environmental Politics at the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine, and Uppsala University’s first holder of the Zennström Visiting Professorship in Climate Change Leadership. Doreen was one of the researchers representing Uppsala University at the United Nations climate change negotiations COP 21 in Paris 2015. She will be presenting: ”Report from Paris: International cooperation and the challenge of climate change”
