Professor Anna Jonsson Cornell appointed Sweden's representative in CPT
Recently Professor Anna Jonsson Cornell has been appointed by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe as Sweden's representative in the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT).
CPT is one of the Council of Europe's regulatory bodies that monitors issues related to how locked up individuals are treated. CPT members are independent and independent experts who carry out regular visits to prisons, hospitals and other places where there may be individuals who have been deprived of their freedom.
