About the course
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to distinguish between gauge and global symmetries, and understand their distinct roles. Proficiency in analyzing the fundamental role of groups for generating symmetry transformations will be achieved, enabling a deeper comprehension of symmetries in various theoretical frameworks. The application of symmetry principles to quantum field theories will be a key focus, will enhance your capacity to navigate and employ advanced symmetry concepts in the realm of quantum mechanics. Furthermore, you will gain insight into the essential concepts of spontaneous symmetry breaking and its implications for physical systems. The course will empower you to find nontrivial solutions in quantum field theory, honing you problem-solving skills and equipping you with the theoretical tools needed to address complex issues in the field.
