Insurance for exchange students

On this page, you find information about what insurance you get automatically by being an exchange student at Uppsala University as well as input on what extra insurance you might need to organise privately before arriving in Sweden.

It is crucial that you have full insurance coverage when abroad. Your insurance should cover you both during school hours and your free time. If not accidents or simply falling ill can become very expensive.

This insurance provides emergency medical and dental coverage, emergency home transportation, personal property coverage, third party liability and legal protection. It provides coverage in Sweden 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note that there is a deductible for personal property coverage.
