Polish
Polish is the mother tongue of about 40 million people in Poland and about 10 million outside the country. It is a Slavic language which, together with Czech, Slovak, Upper and Lower Sorbian belongs to the West Slavic group.
Polish is written with the same alphabet as Swedish, but some letters have special, diacritical characters to represent certain language sounds. As a beginner's language, Polish can be studied from A to D level. During this period, you will learn to use the language orally and in writing as well as familiarize yourself with the country's history, culture and literature.
Courses at the advanced level are to be found under the heading Slavic Languages.
