Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, the student should be able to

  • account for the different stages of the construction process.
  • account for and describe various types of contract and payment forms.
  • describe which laws and regulations that influence the parties in the construction process.
  • explain the principles that are used at establishment of bidding basics, with consideration taken to the praxis of the AMA-system.
  • describe and account for different construction starting plans that are generated prior to the construction start and under the construction process.
  • describe and account for different procurement forms.

Content

The course deals with the central parts in the construction process: Laws and regulations, different parties at the workplace, contract forms and compensation forms, choices and rules for different procurement forms.

Lectures. Project Work.

Assessment

Written examination (2 credits) and passed project assignment (3 credits)
