  • interpret and describe what Java programs do,
  • describe basic concepts for object orientation and error handling.

Regarding competence and skills, the student is expected to be able to on completion of the course:

  • use development tools to create programs in Java,
  • independently construct structured programs in Java,
  • analyze code to find and fix logic errors.

Content

Programming is introduced based on basic building blocks, such as data type, selection, and iteration, which are then used to implement structured programs in Java. The course also covers object orientation, file handling, error handling, and debugging. Problem-solving is central to programming and is practiced by writing and analyzing programs.

Instruction

Exercises, and supervision.

Assessment
