Health Economics seminar: Stock market shocks and suicide risk: Evidence from real-time emergency calls in Istanbul

S. Tolga Er is a PhD candidate in the European Doctorate in Law and Economics (EDLE) program at the University of Hamburg, Germany. His research focuses on how institutions and structural risks shape economic and social outcomes, with applications to firms, political behavior, and mental health. As part of his doctoral training, he has conducted research visits at Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Bologna.

The seminar aims to meet regularly to discuss health economics broadly from a social science, medical, and pharmaceutical perspective. The seminar is a venue for discussing research ideas, ongoing work, or finished work with local presenters and external guests. The meeting is open to all researchers with interest in health economics.
