Uppsala Health Summit

Uppsala Health Summit was a collaborative project initiated by the network World-class Uppsala, and led by Uppsala University together with six other partners. Its goal was to create a recurring international arena for dialogue on health and healthcare challenges, and how to address them.

Launched in 2014, the project officially concluded in June 2025.

Each Summit brought together personally invited decision-makers, opinion-makers and experts for in-depth discussions through well-prepared workshops and plenum sessions.

The Summit served as a unique platform for dialogue between science, policy, and practice, uniting participants from diverse sectors and geographies to explore complex global health issues and co-develop practical, forward-looking solutions.

Its legacy lives on through the partnerships it helped foster, the policy briefs and recommendations it generated, and the inspiration it offered to other international forums.

The project partners were Uppsala University, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala Region, the Medical Products Agency (MPA), the Swedish Veterinary Agency (SVA), the City of Uppsala, and Örebro University.
