Collaborations
Uppsala University collaborates with government agencies, other higher education institutions and other actors at the local, regional and national levels to strengthen Sweden’s total defence. By sharing knowledge and expertise, developing common solutions and meeting the needs of society, we are helping Sweden to be better prepared and more resilient in crises and wars.
National collaboration for Sweden’s total defence
Campus Total Defence aims to strengthen Sweden’s total defence through education, research and skills development.
Cybercampus Sweden works to develop and strengthen Sweden’s cybersecurity capabilities. The partnership is based on three pillars – research, education and innovation – and aims to strengthen Sweden’s resilience and competitiveness.
Swedish Defence University
A cohesive approach to legal readiness for peacetime crises, high alert events, and war. A project exploring how the legal regulation of emergency preparedness and total defence can form a cohesive system to support planning for, and the management of, peacetime crises, high alert events, and war.
Swedish Defence University: How can Swedish laws on crisis and war be improved?
Swedish Armed Forces
The Armed Forces’ Language School and Uppsala University have a partnership where military interpreters trained at the School receive higher education credits for the language courses they pass.
Uppsala County Administrative Board
The Regional crisis collaboration council (Regionalt krissamverkansråd) has a strategic function, serving as a platform for decision-making, exchanging information, and coordination in the area of crisis preparedness and the prevention of accidents.
Psychological Defence Agency
Citizen Survey. Researchers at the Department of Government conduct an annual Citizen Survey on behalf of the Psychological Defence Agency. The survey asks for Swedes’ views on democracy, threats, willingness to defend, and trust in social institutions and more.
The Church of Sweden
Ecclesiastical heritage protection in the event of a heightened state of alert or war. The project's purpose is to provide a current picture from a local perspective of how religious cultural heritage could be affected by armed conflicts. It will result in recommendations on what a shared responsibility between the authorities and the Church of Sweden can and should look like, with clear roles and responsibilities.
