Research
My research area is mainly about childbirth fear and caesarean section on maternal request, but also studies about midwives’ wellbeing and midwifery student’s confidence and competence at the end of their education. Ingegerd Hildingsson has authored over 100 peer-reviewed published paper and several book chapters. She has expertise in quantitative methods, intervention studies, including RCT's, mixed methods, and qualitative methods. She works closely with international researchers in Australian, Africa, UK, Ireland and US and has a large national network in Sweden where she is one of the leading researchers in midwifery.
