Mårten Tyrberg, PhD and Docent in Psychology at Uppsala University, is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and specialist in clinical psychology. He works at Hospital of Västmanland and Uppsala University, and is affiliated to Karolinska Institutet. He serves as Chief Psychological Advisor at the Psychiatric Clinic in Region Västmanland, and treats and assesses complex psychiatric cases. His research focuses on acute and inpatient care, including ACT, CBT, and Safewards.

Biography
Mårten Tyrberg, Ph.D. and Docent (Associate Professor) in Psychology at Uppsala University, is a Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Specialist in Clinical Psychology. He holds a combined clinical and post-doctoral research position at Hospital of Västmanland Västerås/Centre for Clinical Research/Uppsala University and serves as Chief Psychological Advisor at the Adult Psychiatric Clinic. He works clinically in psychiatric inpatient care, treating and assessing patients with various complex diagnoses. He is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, Uppsala University, and affiliated with Karolinska Institutet. His current research focuses on psychological treatment in inpatient and acute psychiatric care and related areas, as well as the psychiatric ward environment generally. Recent publications have covered ultra-brief ACT for psychotic inpatients, CBT for institutionalized youth, and the implementation of Safewards.
