Short presentation
My doctoral research investigates how people in a rural, industrial area in mid-Sweden, cope with societal anxieties arising in times of global crises, national discourses around unsafety, and local dismantling of state and commercial services. I am interested in how new forms of relatedness are created, and what social groups and networks become important to provide a sense of safety and belonging.
