Main areas of interest: Prophets and prophetic literature; metaphors in the Hebrew Bible; enemy images in prophetic texts in light of political propaganda in the ANE; prophetic cult critique; sacrifices and meals in ancient Israel and Judah; the book of Amos

Född i Landskrona 1955.
Disputerade 1996 i Lund. Avhandlingens titel: Grapes in the Desert: Metaphors, Models, and Themes in Hosea 4-14.
Har tidigare arbetat som lärare vid Pastoralinstitutet i Lund, samt som universitetslärare i bibelvetenskap vid Lunds, Umeå och Göteborgs universitet.
Anställdes 2006 som universitetslektor vid Uppsala universitet. Utnämndes 2012 till professor och till att vara ämnesföreträdare för Gamla testamentets exegetik.
