Licenced psychologist and associate professor at child- and adolescent psychiatry.

Biography

I am a licensed psychologist and have worked in child- and adolescent psychiatry since 2001. I completed my PhD in 2014 and am currently an Associate Professor and Senior Researcher. I have supervised and continue to supervise several doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers. I am also an Adjunct Lecturer and primarily teach on the medical programme at Uppsala University, where I am responsible for the course component on communication skills.

Research

My research is conducted within child- and adolescent psychiatry, with a focus on the causes and mechanisms underlying child and adolescent psychiatric conditions and on psychological treatment. Current projects include identifying early markers of psychiatric conditions such as psychosis, ADHD, and autism; developing and evaluating psychological treatments for children and adolescents with ADHD and for relatives of individuals with emotionally unstable personality disorder; evaluating diagnostic instruments and diagnostic processes; and investigating the role of emotion regulation and digital media use in ADHD.
