Performance and competition or learning and teamwork? What is life like for PhD students today? How do they learn to navigate academia and what role does the supervisor play? Meet researchers and PhD students from Uppsala University in a discussion about the conditions of PhD life and how to create optimal conditions for young researchers. Listen to a conversation between Moa Lindqvist, Ylva Söderfeldt, and Topias Tolonen-Weckström.

Topias Tolonen-Weckström, PhD student in Mathematics and Chair of the Doctoral Committee of the Swedish National Union of Students, Uppsala University.

The event is part of Curie Talks – a collaboration between tidningen Curie, the Young Academy of Sweden, and the country's universities and university colleges. The series of discussions highlights current issues regarding the conditions of research and is open to everyone, but is particularly aimed at young researchers and PhD students at the local institution. The discussions are recorded and broadcast on the podcast Curiepodden. Tidningen Curie is published by the Swedish Research Council.
