New term of office for Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor

Following a government decision 10 September 2026, Anders Hagfeldt will continue in his role as Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University. Coco Norén will continue as Deputy Vice-Chancellor in line with a decision by the University Board.
Regeringen har beslutat att omförordna Anders Hagfeldt som rektor för Uppsala universitet för ytterligare en mandatperiod när nuvarande mandatperiod löper ut den 31 december 2026.
Prorektor utses av Konsistoriet (universitetets styrelse) och de har tidigare beslutat att omförordna Coco Norén som prorektor för en ny mandatperiod under förutsättning att regeringen omförordnar Anders Hagfeldt som rektor.
Den nya mandatperioden för rektor och prorektor löper fram till den 31 december 2029.
