Project update: Survey&Report for course evaluations
The project to introduce Survey&Report (Sunet Survey) as a new system for course evaluations continues throughout 2026. During 2025, pilot courses were carried out with positive results in order to test the system’s core functionality and its integration with Studium.
The work is now focused on further developing the course evaluation process and testing more automated workflows. The aim is to reduce the administrative workload, ensure that course evaluations are carried out, and create better conditions for feedback and quality enhancement.
During autumn 2026, pilots of an automated course evaluation process will be carried out at a number of departments. In the automated process, course evaluations are created automatically in Studium based on shared templates and predefined scheduling settings, while teachers still have the possibility to add their own questions.
Parallel work is ongoing regarding:
- shared templates and routines,
- development of the course report,
- analysis functionality,
- handling of free-text responses,
- integrations with other systems such as Ladok.
The project is carried out within the e-area Teaching and Learning in collaboration with the e-Learning Group and the Reference Group, both of which include representatives from the University’s disciplinary domains.

Transition from Ouriginal to Originality
During the autumn semester, the text-matching system Ouriginal will be replaced by Originality. For teachers, this mainly means that the reports will have a new layout, while the overall workflow remains largely the same.
We will ensure that older data remains available for comparison in the new system. Integrations with both Studium and Inspera are being implemented. Our support team is currently training in the use of Originality, and guides for staff are being prepared.
The transition is planned for late October to early November 2025. During a short transition period, stability may be somewhat lower, but the tool will be fully integrated into Studium and support the same type of workflows as before.
The change is necessary because Ouriginal will be phased out by the provider in 2026. Sunet has therefore procured a new service – which, ironically enough, has an almost identical name: Originality.
