Inclusive teaching

The number of students with disabilities qualify for higher education is increasing. This places higher demands on teachers to develop expertise in inclusive, accessible, and equitable teaching methods.

The university-wide project Inclusive Teaching (Inkluderande undervisning) aims to contribute to a more sustainable, long-term work environment for teachers by strengthening their pedagogical competence. It also provides them with tools and methods to design accessible and inclusive learning environments.

By designing teaching for general accessibility, the need for individual support measures can be reduced, freeing up time and energy for both teachers and students.

Another goal of the project is to demonstrate that Uppsala University is actively contributing to the national development of inclusive teaching.

The project is running from 2025 to 2028.
